OH! And I almost forgot... a few weeks back our friends had a Cancer benefit for one of HER friends... and they raised money at Evolution Tattoo... so of COURSE I had to go in and get a tattoo for my girl. I had her pick out what she thought I should get... and the agreement was brass knuckles with "Fight Like a Girl" in the banner... I love it :) She loves it :)

Update on our cancer fighting mama friend & Go Fund Me!
Just a little update here on our friend going through Hell and back. She is almost done with Chemo and things are looking up... Counts are finally going in the right direction! After a bad lung infection, an implant removal, and some strong antibiotics we are one step closer to getting rid of this cruel cancer... I want to thank you all SO SO much for those of you that donated to the Go Fund Me. It is still open and if you would like to donate you are more than welcome as funds are still VERY tight due to her not being allowed to work. People like you helping out make this world a better place!!

She says it hurts but its worth it.
"She says it hurts but its worth it." A line from my favorite Hold Steady song... A line I have been waiting years to have tattooed on me. Until about a month ago - I didn't know exactly how I wanted it... but with Remie posted a photo of some AWESOME birds she had drawn up... it all made sense.

Reime did such an AMAZING job... I love it so much and I absolutely can't wait to get it finished up... I can't wait to look in the mirror every day and see such a bright and colorful piece shining back! If the finished piece is even half as awesome as the original piece she drew Ill be thrilled :) I know where Im going for my Kawaii sleeve! Can't wait!
If anyone in the area is looking to get tattooed - be sure to go see Reime at Evolution Tattoo... Everyone there is laid back and super talented... you won't be disappointed. Need an excuse to find your way over there? Its super close to the Mall of America so you could have a fun day shopping and riding rides with the family - and be getting new ink by the evening :) If you call for a consultation tell em Amber from RockerByeBaby sent you!
I just had to have them... I loved the traditional style with the new school twist... I LOVE the details in the banner... and the amazing coloring in the birds... so we *she* made some tweaks... added in my must have lyrics... and we put an anchor in the center to tie it all together.
Reime is an amazing artist... and even just the outline got me all giddy!
I loved just watching the master do her work.
Hanging out at Evolution Tattoo was awesome... The shop is in Bloomington, MN and has a gorgeous lake and woods in its back yard. So beautiful. The decor inside is so awesome... Its absolutely one of the nicest shops I have ever been to... and the bathroom? Possibly the nicest of ALL bathrooms... ever. I should have taken a picture of it, lol
Reime got the stencil on in one shot and it was perfect... Got prepped and we got going on the outline.
(love this shot ^^ )
Continue on for an awesome photo montage :)

We will have 2 of these under the tree this year... one for each kiddo... a guitar themed one, and a tattoo one (like the above mommy/daddy yo-yo)... Why keep buying those cheap-o cardboard games when you can have something quality that will last you generations and generations...
#3: Nesting Blocks - Each set comes with 4 blocks, complete with letters, numbers, bright patterns, and of course- cute, skeleton animals! Im in love... I need another baby so I can get these... cuz they are ADORABLE!
#4: And last but DEFINITELY not least... if anything, THE BEST.... the "Rockin' Horses" or... "Rocking Horses of a Different Color" if you Jenny :) Either way, I think we can all agree to call them amazing. HAve you ever seen such a classic toy with a twist?! Im in love... and would be willing to sell a kidney to get that tattoo one...
Im really truly just in love... Her things are amazing... the detail that she puts into them is flawless... and she went above and beyond to be sure she was using baby/toddler safe materials... and guess what... you get to see for yourself... One lucky winner will get their hands on a CUSTOM memory game... shoot any theme her way, and she will make it happen... guitars? sure! Punk? No problem! Flowers? Rainbows? Cars? Butterflies? Owls? Trains? You betcha! Ok... well, you get the picture... any custom memory set you can dream up.

Favorites Friday.... on Tuesday :) Vinyls
This week... totally random theme, but with the big move coming I have been planning new decor... and i am loving all these vinyl wall stickers... and having a REALLY hard time picking a couple cuz I want them all, but fear that would just look silly, lol On the flip side... vinyls are great for condo living where you can't paint... they are easy to take down... but still add personality. So here are some of the themes we have picked out for the new place...
Living Room: Traditional Tattoos... found some cool sailor Jerry flash canvases with pinups... anchors, etc. way cool. Lots of Reds, Creams & Browns..
Master Bedroom: its all done in the Damask Rock fabric... red curtains, and I bought some awesome tin stars w/ damask here on etsy to coordinate... SO excited..
Master Bathroom: Old Hollywood... bought some Marilyn Monroe & Audrey Hepburn art... then made a few cute pieces myself!
Boys room... Pirates!
And we still have a lonnnng way to go, lol... Any ideas!? Id love to hear what you guys think... how do you feel about Vinyls? Cute? Cheesy?
(click photo to enlarge)
#1: CreativeWalls: Cherry Blossoms... Im LOVING these... maybe in the kitchen? That could be cute :)
#2: ExpressingYou: Damask Monogram... I think a nice big "Z" could be cool in the bedroom...
#3: Xpresivdesigns: I like the idea of this James Dean Quote in the "holly wood bathroom"
#4: GreyWoldGraphics: Sewing Border... TOTALLY would be adorable in the sewing office above the window :)
#5: Beepart: Swallows.... Im like 90% sure these are a must have above the fireplace.... We bought a metal anchor, and i think it would be cool in between them...
#6: BubbaAndDoodle: awe... we NEEED these for the boys room for sure!
#7: BeePart: Sugar Skull... have NO idea where this would go, but I LOVE it...
#8: FreckledHound: Pirate LIfe... think this one would be SUPER cute in the boys' pirate room :)
#9: VerdigrisDye: Buttons.... Im also 90% sure that I need these in the office to go with my "stoopidgerl" prints.
